Alumni Spotlight

Alyssa *èuphoria* Mirasol

Alyssa Mirasol is one of our most respected alumnae. The pride and passion for our sorority does not go unnoticed- even her favorite color is purple. Throughout her undergraduate career, she dedicated immense time and effort into leading our sorority into what it is today. From holding multiple positions  as an active including President from Fall 2015- Spring 2016 and being part of the group of sisters who worked long and hard for us to gain full fledged status, we cannot thank her enough for her guidance and support. Even aside from aKDPhi, she has shown her dedication in everything that she does by becoming in just a year,  winning 3rd place in the 2017 IPF World Classic. She is diligent, high-spirited, and embodies the definition of what it means to work hard and play hard. Without a doubt we know that she will continue to be successful and overcome any obstacles in her way, which inspires us to do so also and strive to always be a better version of ourselves.

Currently, Patty is an IT System Administrator specializing in cyber security assessments. Her short term goals consists of earning Microsoft, Dell, and Cisco certifications. As for her end goal, she someday hopes to become the Director of IT at the engineering firm.

Stephanie *Flipmode* Meng

Stephanie Meng is the President of the Stony Brook Akdphi Alumnae Association (SAKAA). She does not just simply show her support for the active house by attending alumni events, but she goes above and beyond in guiding us, motivating us, and brainstorming ways to further improve our chapter. For the past eleven years, she has consistently worked with the ever-changing active house in all chapter functions. Her advice, contributions and feedbcak have significantly helped our chapter in all our endavors. She has gone as far as to assist our chapter with allocating funds through the creation of a budget spreadsheet and an alumni donation page.

Stephanie's dedication to the sorority a decade after she crossed not only inspires the active house to work harder for our ultimate goal of status but encourages other alumni to show their support for our cause. With her amiable personality, Stephanie helps us to maintain a positive outlook regardless of our heavy workload.

She also inputs her good humor in order to remind us that all of our hard work will pay off. She is always quick to respond for alumnae feedback and is a familiar face at our monthly alumnae dinners. All of her efforts exemplify the characteristics of a perfect role model to our chapter, empowering us put our heart in soul in everything we do as actives and to continue to contribute to the chapter even after graduation.

Stephanie *Bella Donna* Louie

Stephanie Louie is one of our ten beloved charters and one of our most active alums. She has been a true inspiration to us all with her constant support and love for the sorority. At our 15 Year Extravaganza, Stephanie shared with other alums and the active house the incredible story of our chapter’s establishment. Her words gave us the drive to fulfill our long-term goal of achieving full-fledged status.

In the Fall 2014 semester, Stephanie participated as one of the guests for our alumni panel at the Northeast Sisterhood Rally, expanding her influence to not just the Stony Brook chapter but to the entire Northeast region. Stephanie understands that alumnae contribution is important and thus she has offered not just her advice to us, but has even welcomed us into her home.

Through her extremely generous donations, actives were able to finance for early registration for 2015 Convention! Stephanie’s presence as a charter has left an everlasting impact and motivated us actives to keep the flame burning even after all of these years and to continue the legacy that she started. We cannot thank her enough for being such an outstanding role model to our chapter.
