Hobbies: Baking, working out, and trying new things!
Why aKDPhi: I chose aKDPhi because I did not know anyone coming into college and sisters welcomed me wholeheartedly. I am able to surround myself with like minded people who push one another to achieve their best and it has helped me grow in many ways. Joining aKDPhi was truly one of the best experiences of college and I found my home away from home. <3

Why aKDPhi: Being a part of aKDPhi has truly been one of the most transformative experiences of my college career. It has challenged me to grow as a leader and guided me through my journey of self-discovery. Through this sisterhood, I’ve gained confidence, professionalism, and a deeper sense of purpose. More importantly, I’m so grateful to have found a community that accepts and supports me for who I truly am. aKDPhi has given me sisters who inspire me and opportunities that constantly push me to become the best version of myself every day.

Why aKDPhi: Joining aKDPhi has allowed me to surround myself with a community of women that constantly motivate me to branch out socially and academically, pushing me to take on opportunities that I would never have imagined myself doing without this organization. I’ve not only been able to experience the benefits of a great support system and a genuine sisterhood, but have had such an amazing college experience because of this sorority. I’ve met some of my best friends through aKDPhi and will forever be grateful for the memories I’ve made with all of my sisters <3

At first, I was hesitant about joining Greek life, but after coming out to rush, I met sisters who I immediately clicked with and genuinely looked up to. Since joining, I’ve met some of my closest friends, created memories that will last a lifetime, and found a sense of purpose that’s truly unique to aKDPhi.

I knew I would be able to learn so much from them. It is such a privilege to be surrounded by such genuine people that push me to grow and become the best version of myself.

Why aKDPhi: I never thought I would join a sorority before coming to Stony Brook, but once I met the sisters of aKDPhi, my opinion was drastically changed. They are caring, friendly, and hardworking and I knew I would want to associate and surround myself with them. College is about making memories and living through different and diverse experiences, YOLO!

I really admire how it supports personal growth through new experiences, whether it’s taking on leadership roles, planning events, or being there for one another. Everyone seems so confident and close, and I want to be part of a group that helps me grow while also uplifting others.
